Time Suck O'Meter
Tuesday, May 8, 2007

Coming from the Simpleology newsletter, is the website "Time Suck O Meter". It's an interesting idea:
Top 1000 most time saving, andThe site gets its stats from the BrowserBodyguard toolbar, which is supposed to help your web surfing experience stay on task. If you find a site that "sucks time" instead of providing any real productivity, simply mark it as a time-sucker. Conversely, if you find a site that is VERY helpful in your productivity, you can mark that as a time-saver.
Bottom 1000 most time sucking sites
The data sample of Time Suck O'Meter is obviously pretty small right now, as there are only 8 sites in the time-saver column, and 11 in the time-sucker column. If more people use the toolbar, though, it could provide a useful way to find sites that will help in day-to-day productivity.
Of course, as it stands now, I'm trying to figure out how "Google Netherlands" can save you time, but "Google Australia" will waste your time. My guess, is that since I don't speak Dutch, I will go to Google NL and immediately leave... but if I go to Google AU, I may actually search for something and waste some time. :) Also, I hope that they have some mechanism in place to prevent an inevitable onslaught of spammers... because right now, some (lots) of the links seem to be pretty "spammy".

Top 10 Attraction Downloads
Monday, March 26, 2007
Lists are all the rage on blogs these days, so I put together my Top 10 Attraction Downloads. Things that you can download to help with your manifesting and intentions.
10. Intention Creator - a program from Joe Vitale that displays daily sayings and reminders about the intentions you input. A couple of caveats before you download though: you have to signup to get the download link, and once you install the program, it will automatically run when you 9. start-up your computer, and there isn't a easy way to disable it. I had to use MSCONFIG, and disable it in the startup menu.
9. CDEx - This a great CD-to-MP3 converter. I know a lot of people who are into the LoA probably have a few personal development CDs in their car... with this, you can make them into small-sized mp3s, and put them on your iPod or other mp3 player.
8. Firefox - this is THE web browser you should be using. In my post about making a Vision Board on Flickr, I use the SnipSot Firefox extension... and that's just ONE way Firefox is useful. There are so many Extensions that could be used for helping with Attraction manifesting stuff, I'll probably do a whole other list just for that.
7. FeedReader 3 - There a lots of great personal development and Law of Attraction blogs out there, and this is a great way to keep track of them. For web-based reading, try Google Reader.
6. AceMoney Lite - With all the money you'll be attracting, you need some way to manage it. AceMoney is a great bit of freeware that can help. If you want to get the full version, it's only $30.
5. Paint.NET - After you download the picture of what you want to attract, you may need to crop it or resize it. With Paint.NET, you get a ton of great features for image manipulation that can help.
4. Affiliate Center - As I talked about previously, affiliate programs are an excellent way to attract a little more cash into your bank account. Since I personally connected with Harv Eker's program, I decided to affiliate with him, and I don't regret it. With Affiliate Center, you can have ONE place to track all of your affiliations.
3. WorkRave - I know I spend WAY too much time in front of the computer. With WorkRave installed, it tells me to stop working at certain invervals, and take a break. It even has some handy at-desk excercises you can do to keep your blood pumping, and your mind working.
2. Mind Stereo - This is the only not-entirely-free program. The demo version is pretty interesting, though. It will play music off of your computer, and put in brain-wave sounds that can be adjusted for many different desire effects. There's another program called BrainWave Generator, also demoware, that does something similar, though it only plays the brainwave sounds, and no music.
1. The Science of Getting Rich ebook - it started The Secret phenomenon, and it's totally free. You can read it online, download a pdf, or even get an audiobook copy.
If you have any other programs or downloads that you find useful in your manifesting or attracting, please leave them in the comments.
